Mark your calendars for February 3nd, as part of the celebration of World Wetlands Day!
World Wetlands Day, celebrated annually on 2 February, aims to raise awareness about the crucial role wetlands play in keeping our landscapes and biodiversity thriving. However, the expansion of industries such as agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and tourism has brought about significant changes in the ecology and life of wetlands. That's why the theme for this year's World Wetlands Day is "Wetlands and Human Wellbeing." It's a reminder for us to reflect on the impact we have on these precious ecosystems and find ways to ensure their preservation for the benefit of both nature and humanity.
DivingDeep team aims to celebrate World Wetlands Day at Thol Wildlife Sanctuary, on 3rd February, to attract eco-conscious hikers+ travellers, to build positive relationships with the natural world and to solidify voice towards the protection of remaining wilderness of Thol. On this day, team aims to engage participants creatively in sustainable experience, raise awareness about conservation and prioritise L-N-T practices for responsible recreation. So, grab your binoculars, lace up your hiking shoes and let World Wetlands Day be the step of discovery, stewardship and unforgettable experience of give-back!
Come and be a part of the DivingDeep team at Thol Wildlife Sanctuary at the Dawn! We have an exciting plan to explore the wetland, hike through its wild trails, and delve deeper into the fascinating world of the wetland ecosystem.
