“The idea of wilderness needs no defence, it only needs defenders.”― Edward Abbey
What if each person simply picked up a single piece of litter?
Imagine the positive impact it could have on India's forest reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, and national parks. The increasing number of visitors is taking a toll on these precious natural areas and on its pristine beauty. It's crucial to connect visitors to the importance of preserving these lands for future generations. However, the high volume of visitors and lack of supporting management are causing harm to the forests, water sources, and land. From litter on the trails to disruptive behaviour, it's time to educate visitors/tourists on the importance of responsible stewardship in order to protect these beautiful wilderness areas.
It's time to make a difference and fight against single use plastic and plastic pollution. Join us in the movement to #BeatPlasticPollution. This World Wildlife Day on March 3rd, let's come together to silently make a positive impact in one of Gujarat's forests. Let's unite for a clean-up hiking adventure at Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary on March 03, 2024. In addition to the clean-up session, we'll embark on an exhilarating nature hike, venture into the untamed wilderness, engage with the vibrant local community, connect with forest-guards, and collaborate to craft heartwarming tales of giving back.
This remarkable event is open to anyone aged 8 years and above, so come join us!
Astral Foundation is the proud supporter and sponsor of the entire event. DivingDeep team, along with the assistance of dedicated volunteers and supporters, including the forest department and local villagers, will be facilitating all the sessions and activities.
